Robert Wiseman Dairies Robert Wiseman Dairies is one of the UK’s leading milk processors, providing both branded and private label fresh milk.

Robert Wiseman were receiving requests from customers and suppliers to upgrade their business interoperability capability and to conduct B2B using new technologies such as AS2, XML and Web Services.

In choosing SAA’s REIMS on IBM i (for Power Systems including AS/400, iSeries and System i), Robert Wiseman was provided with a generic B2B integration solution containing the inbuilt flexibility to handle all major B2B communication standards for the retail supply chain. The solution was able to complement their existing EDI electronic exchanges and provide them with the facility to introduce new methods of Internet communications as required by the business.

Robert Wiseman has now extended the reach of their traditional EDI capabilities to secure communications across the Internet and is achieving a significant reduction in costs and overall improvement in efficiency of business processes.

Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd

Palmer and Harvey McLane Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd is the UK’s largest delivered wholesaler and distributor supplying a comprehensive range of ambient products and chilled and frozen products to independent and multiple retailers.

Palmer & Harvey had the standard B2B requirements of a retail grocery organisation, exchanging EDI based documents with the major multiples. However, in providing warehousing and logistics services to suppliers and companies such as Compass Group, Palmer & Harvey needed to upgrade their IT infrastructure to a solution that would enable them to implement new technologies such as XML and AS2.

Palmer & Harvey turned to SAA for their expertise and experience in providing B2B integration solutions to the food processing, logistics and retail industries.

As REIMS is approved by the Drummond Group for AS2, SAA was able to provide Palmer & Harvey with a full interoperable solution. Working with SAA, Palmer & Harvey believe that they now have the system in place that will meet their immediate and future electronic B2B integration requirements.
